It is one of the seven native Hawaiian hibiscus
flowers of Hawaii. The seven species are Hibiscus
arnottianus , Hibiscus brackenridgei, Hibiscus
clayi , Hibiscus furcellatus, Hibiscus kokio,
Hibiscus tiliaceus, and Hibiscus waimeae. Over
200 in existence, only 7 native to Hawaii.
