latifolia)
The Mountain Laurel is an evergreen shrub and
belongs to the Blueberry family. It was adopted
as the official state flower of Connecticut in
1907. The Mountain Laurel is well known for its
physical appeal and so it is primarily grown as
an ornamental plant.
