ANIMAL CONTROL RECIPE

Wild Life Repellent

An ammonia-soaked rag treatment signals territory to raccoons, opossums, and other night visitors — a scent strong enough to convince them the area is already claimed.

Wildliferepellent
Prep: 10 minutes
Yields: 4–6 rags
Use with caution

Materials

Household ammonia
Old rags or cloth strips
Small dishes or jar lids

Instructions

1

Soak rags thoroughly in ammonia, wearing gloves to protect your skin.

2

Place the soaked rags in small dishes to catch drips.

3

Set the dishes around garden edges, near trash areas, or wherever wildlife activity is a problem.

4

Re-soak rags every few days as the scent fades.

Caution: Handle ammonia in a well-ventilated area, avoid contact with skin and eyes, and never mix it with bleach or other cleaning products.
