INSECT CONTROL RECIPE

Moth Repellent

Dried lavender and cedar sachets keep clothes moths out of closets and drawers with a pleasant scent instead of harsh mothball fumes.

Prep: 10 minutes
Yields: 4–6 sachets
Organic-friendly

Ingredients

1 cup dried lavender buds
1/2 cup cedar shavings
Small cloth sachet bags

Instructions

1

Combine the dried lavender buds and cedar shavings in a bowl.

2

Spoon the mixture into small cloth sachet bags and tie or sew closed.

3

Tuck sachets into closets, drawers, and storage bins where clothes moths are a concern.

Tip: Refresh sachets with a few drops of lavender oil every few months as the scent fades — that's what keeps moths away, not the dried material itself.
