Manure Tea
Steeped manure makes a nutrient-rich liquid feed that also strengthens plants against pests — a healthy, well-fed plant simply resists damage better.

Ingredients
1 large shovelful well-aged manure
A burlap sack or old pillowcase
5-gallon bucket of water
Instructions

Scoop the manure into the burlap sack and tie it closed.

Submerge the sack in the bucket of water like a giant tea bag.

Let steep for about a week, stirring occasionally, until the water turns a rich brown.

Dilute the tea to a light amber color with more water before watering plants at the base.
Tip: Use well-aged or composted manure rather than fresh — fresh manure is high in ammonia and can burn tender roots.
