ANIMAL CONTROL RECIPE
Castor Bean Mole Repellent
Castor oil soaks into the soil and makes it taste unpleasant to moles, encouraging them to tunnel elsewhere without ever coming to the surface.
Prep: 10 minutes
Yields: about 1 gallon
Organic-friendly
Ingredients
1/2 cup castor oil
2 tablespoons liquid dish soap
1 gallon water
Watering can or sprayer
Instructions
1
Combine the castor oil and dish soap in a jar and shake vigorously until well blended.
2
Add the mixture to a gallon of water and stir or shake again.
3
Pour or spray the solution over areas with mole tunnels and runs.
4
Reapply every couple of weeks, especially after heavy rain, until tunneling activity stops.
Tip: Water the lawn well before applying so the mixture soaks down into the tunnels rather than sitting on the surface.
