Buttermilk Spray
A mild buttermilk-and-flour spray coats spider mites and small soft-bodied insects, suffocating them without harsh chemicals.

Ingredients
1 gallon water
2 cups buttermilk
4 cups all-purpose flour
Strainer and spray bottle
Instructions

Whisk the flour into a small amount of water first to remove lumps, then stir into the rest of the water.

Add the buttermilk and mix until well combined.

Strain the mixture to remove any remaining lumps before pouring into a spray bottle.

Spray affected leaves thoroughly, coating both sides, and rinse plants gently after a day or two.
Tip: Spray on an overcast day or in the evening — buttermilk residue can encourage leaf scorch if it dries in direct, hot sun.
